You attempt each task in sequence. Focusing all your attention onto the objects in question, you don't see any results, until you get to the block guessing.
You guess the correct block thirty-one out of fifty times, much better than sheer luck. The short woman nods seriously.
"Good," she says. "We'll put you onto the regular track. You'll be in good company; more than sixty-five percent of our enrolled students go into the normal courses."
She hands you a schedule.
You're happy with that result. You'd been worried about remedial classes or something equally embarrassing.
"Please exit the room and follow our administrative assistant Giorgio to the tour."

The tour is informative, though you still feel as if this school has more secrets than the Pentagon. There are mysterious hallways, secret doors, and esoterically labelled buttons in the elevator, each with a separate keyhole next to them. Giorgio pretends not to hear some of the more specific and prying questions from the other students, but is helpful enough to point out the rooms for all the classes on your schedule.
After the tour, you and all the other students are dismissed. Before you can chat with any of them, they hurry out the doors, and you decide to head home and get some rest before classes start tomorrow.
When you wake up the next day, you're unsure if Caverstone will require the same sort of supplies as a normal school, but you pack some to be safe. With your bag filled, you make your way back to the imposing tower downtown.
